Building a Strong Foundation of Faith

Men praying for each other at a PK event

Promise Keepers continues to inspire generations, uniting men through vital relationships to become godly influences in their world. PK’s generational influence is one of the cornerstones that has kept Promise Keepers NZ reaching fathers, sons, brothers, and their families for the greater glory of God’s Kingdom for close to 30 years. The result of our PK local events and online ministry has been building a strong foundation of faith that leaves a Godly legacy throughout New Zealand and beyond.

I’ve seen first-hand how PK NZ has impact and reach to other nations, including Canada, the U.S.A., and through our National Director Frank’s vision, will be making an intentional impact throughout the South Pacific. It’s this global perspective that has ensured PK has made a positive shift to seeing how we can partner and unite with other like-minded ministries that are encouraging, supporting, and serving men in their Christian faith.

In 2024, we will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of Promise Keepers New Zealand. 2024 will be a season where PK local events will galvanise on the theme of UNITY. While considering this spiritually potent theme of unity and preparing for this article, I was prompted to look again at Isaiah 54:2-3, NKJV. In these verses we read:

"Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, and your descendants will inherit the nations, and make the desolate cities inhabited.”

These verses use the imagery of a tent to symbolise the dwelling place of God's people, and encourages them to enlarge, stretch, lengthen, and strengthen their tent. I love how these verses empower us to make room for more people to have a greater impact for what God is doing. These are also a Biblical promise of God’s favour and restoration after a season of hardship and isolation of His people. I believe in this new season, God is continuing to call men out of isolation, and is encouraging His people to prepare for growth and blessing.

Together we can build strong faithful men, resilient families that love God, and better communities for our families and whanau. Please join us in partnering with PK's October 2023 Financial Appeal. With your support, PK can “extend the tent pegs” to make a significant impact on the men of this nation and more.
