“I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13-14)
Paul’s letter to the church in Philippi is a reminder to us that Christ is to be the centre of everything that we do. That it is God’s righteousness and through faith, we will come to know the power of the cross, and the full knowledge of who He is.
This year marks 30 years of PK ministry in New Zealand and we plan to hold a celebration to mark this momentous milestone later in the year.
As we pray and look ahead this year, we want to stay close to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We want to be close to what is in the Father’s heart for PK.
The world is in turmoil, searching for Truth. We are the salt and light of the world. We want to be an example to the world, to our families and communities.
Unity is the theme for PK in 2024. As Jesus prayed to the Father; “that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one”. (John 17:21-22)
PK is but a tool for God to encourage and challenge men back to God, to be ‘in one’ with Him. That is the goal and the outlook.
All that was achieved and attained in the past 30 years, we will celebrate the legacy. But the Father is looking to you, to us, to go again, to keep running the race to gain the ultimate prize; the fulfilment of and the fullness of God’s purpose for what lies ahead in the now and the eternal promises through Christ Jesus our Lord.
I have met numerous men in the past year who are still passionate to serve the Lord through PK, and I say to you, ‘let’s go again’. The Lord will pour out His blessing when we advance forward – united.
I look forward to serving God together with you whether through PK or another ministry. We are heading the same way, have the same enemy, and same God. Let’s have some fun and bless each other as we run this year.
In His richest blessings,
Frank Po Ching
