Christchurch Men’s Event, Saturday 9 November, 8am to 12.30pm at Christchurch Elim City Campus, 285 Cashel Street, Christchurch. Event speakers Pastor Fa’amanu (Ps Nu) Telea, Senior Pastor of Elim Church Christchurch and PKNZ National Director Frank Po Ching, will be encouraging us to stand firm. Franklin Men’s Breakfast, Saturday 9 November, 7am to 10am at Franklin Baptist Church, 128 Victoria Street West, Pukekohe. Join us for a great men’s event with a full cooked breakfast (of Bacon and eggs, Hash browns, Sausages, Baked Beans, Toast. Plus cereal, fruit juice, tea and coffee.) PK guest speaker Nick Tuitasi will bring an excellent message of encouragement and faith. Nick is a QSM recipient for services to the community. He is the chair of Promise Keepers New Zealand, he’s the recipient of the Living Legends Award. Tickets for this breakfast event cost $15 each with cash and EFTPOS available on the day. Speakers at events can include:
Frank Po Ching, is the National Director of Promise Keepers New Zealand. Frank is from Samoan heritage, he's married to Anya and between them they have six children and four grandchildren. He's been in the commercial sector in various industries locally, as well as internationally. Much of that time, he's served on several not-for-profit organisations as well. He and his wife completed their Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Discipleship Training School (DTS), which provided Frank with a passionate heart to serve God's Kingdom. He's writing a book, enjoys surfing, landscape painting and lives in Taranaki.
Nick Tuitasi is the Promise Keepers NZ Board Chairman. He's a recipient of the QSM for services to the community. He's also received the Living Legends Award. He’s worked for New Zealand Police, Te Wananga O Aotearoa and Family First NZ, plus other organisations. He’s also a champion of those in the Pasifika community.
Ants Puki is an inspiring man of faith who talks about having the courage to overcome. Ants works in the prisons where he leads a team of people. He and his wife have three daughters. He’s an elder at his local church and he serves on the PK Board.
Paul Monahan, former National Director of Promise Keepers New Zealand, life coach, leadership mentor, former school principal, avid motorsport spectator and participator. Paul Monahan understands the challenges facing men and has a vision to inspire and encourage men to step into all that they can be.
Mick Duncan, speaker, Bible college lecturer and author of several books including Alongsiders: Sitting With Those Who Sit Alone. Mick is a storyteller whose authenticity and personal revelation from his own journey encourages us to live with hope and hold onto faith during difficult times. [Read more about Mick here]
Dave Firth, former Director of Authentic Media, which produces Authentic Men's Magazine. Dave is now pastor at Kaipaki Bible Church. He's also a writer and a Bible teacher who speaks with humour and honesty.
Peter Goulter, former PK Board Member and Strategist in Men’s Ministry, has a tremendous testimony of God’s healing power. Author of Surviving Trials, Peter's healing from cancer and surviving this trial, and others, is the basis of his book. He’s also enthusiastic about helping people with sound advice for their retirement planning. Peter brings an encouraging faith-filled message of hope. [Read more about Peter here]
Michael Hempseed, speaker and author of Being A True Hero: Understanding and Preventing Suicide in Your Community. Michael is an experienced speaker who combines the latest research on mental health and suicide with practical tools, insights and pathways to support.
Tony McKeown, with extensive and varied experience in the hospitality, education and business sectors, Yorkshireman Tony is also a dynamic and entertaining preacher and teacher. His passion for training and development has provided him with opportunities worldwide, through conferences, workshops, small group mentoring, church groups, and in Bible and leadership colleges. Tony is currently Senior Pastor at Eden Church (A/G) in Auckland. His passionate speaking style, along with his engaging sense of humour, makes Tony an extremely popular speaker at Promise Keepers Events.
Colin Shilston, speaker and author of Understanding God's Call: The journey towards knowing your true self. He engages his audience to consider the call of God and ask how we can meaningfully connect our life to it. Colin says, “examining the lives of people who have walked in God’s call will help us answer these questions. It is a fascinating, inspiring, challenging and life-giving journey, and one that will help you better understand and engage with your own journey towards fulfilling God’s call for your life.”
Sam Tolley, Campus Pastor at Church Unlimited West Auckland. He also serves on the Board of PK NZ and is a Church Rep for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Sam is an inspiring communicator who shares with wisdom and Biblical understanding. He uses relatable examples and practical applications which mean that key learnings are easily applied. Sam is a keen golfer, and former P.E. teacher, competitive yacht racer, sports coach and youth pastor. He has a desire for people to fulfil their potential in life and God. Sam is married to Jodi, and they have two children. Sam’s father-in-law is Tak Bhana, Senior Pastor of Church Unlimited Churches. [Read more about Sam here]
Andrew Urquhart is a radio show host and TV presenter. He co-hosts a radio show on Rhema and presents interviews on Shine TV. Andrew is also a men’s group leader in his local church, and is studying Theology at Laidlaw College.
Geoff Wiklund, former Board Chairman of Promise Keepers, now international itinerant speaker who brings a message of hope, love and encouragement.
