Anchoring Your Faith in God’s Unchanging History
“We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks! For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near.” (Psalm 75:1)
by Isaac Sayal - The greatest witness to God’s faithfulness is the story of what He has already done. In Psalm 75 the writer Asaph looks back upon the mighty works of God and declares that His wondrous deeds proclaim the nearness of His name. Every act of divine power is also a revelation of divine character.
God’s mighty works are never displays of power alone, they are revelations of who He is.
The Anchor of Redemptive History -
Throughout Scripture, God’s people have found strength by remembering His faithfulness: Israel looked back to the Exodus. David remembered deliverance from his enemies. The Church looks back to an empty tomb.
Every generation is sustained by the same unchanging reality that the God who acted yesterday still reigns today.
Yet God’s greatest work was not the parting of the Red Sea, the overthrow of mighty kingdoms, or the preservation of a nation.

The Triumph of Calvary -
His greatest work was accomplished upon a hill called Calvary. There, justice and mercy embraced. There, the holy wrath of God fell upon the spotless Son of God. There, Christ secured the salvation His people could never earn.
Paul declares, “For He Himself is our peace” (Ephesians 2:14).
The cross is the supreme display of God’s wisdom, holiness, love, and grace. What appeared to be history’s darkest hour became heaven’s greatest triumph.
How easily we become anxious because we dwell upon what God has not yet done instead of remembering what He has already accomplished. Faith grows stronger when memory grows longer.
The God who has written His faithfulness across every page of redemptive history will not fail to complete the story He has begun.
God’s past works are the anchor of our present faith and the assurance of our future hope.
As Charles Spurgeon wrote, “We may not know what lies ahead, but we know who holds the future.”
Blessings,
Isaac Sayal

A Time of Transition and Thanks
A message from Fa’amanu Telea, Chair of Promise Keepers NZ:
Dear Brothers,
Blessings to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Our Acting National Director and Promise Keepers Board Trustee Peter Meyer has recently chosen to step down from both these roles.
Peter shared this reflection on his departure: “As with all things in life, seasons change, and I feel my season with PKNZ has come to a close now.”
We want to express our sincere gratitude towards Peter for his service over the past three years. His strategic insights, contributions and dedication have been instrumental to the Promise Keepers ministry, not only as a Board Trustee, but especially over these past nine months as Acting National Director.
We are immensely grateful for how he has navigated us through a transition of leadership. With focused work building new relationships within rural communities and through his leadership with the conference in Auckland which was a vital key to its success.
We pray God’s richest blessings over Peter and his family as they step into this next season.
Please keep praying for Promise Keepers NZ, the PK team and the PKNZ Board. We are passionately committed to serving Christian Men in our Nation and need the strength and guidance of the Holy Spirit as we work towards filling the National Director role.
Sincerely and with appreciation,
Fa’amanu Telea
Chair of Promise Keepers NZ
Keep the Mission Moving Forward
Men, God's past works are the anchor of our present faith. As we navigate changing seasons together – thanking God for Peter Meyer's faithful stewardship and praying for our next steps – we invite you to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with us.
Share this message with a brother who needs encouragement, cover our leadership transition in prayer, and stay locked in on the frontline calling God has placed on your life.
God bless you!
