Praise the Lord for His goodness and love
“Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works! Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!” (Psalm 105:1-3)
It has been just over a week since the PK Event in Auckland, and our hearts are in a constant mode of thanksgiving, giving praises to the Lord for His goodness and love.
His presence was amazing during the event. There are so many stories and testimonies that surfaced after the event and continue to come in. There were a number of men that gave their hearts to the Lord for the first time. Then there were men that made a recommitment to follow the Lord. There were hundreds that came up for prayer over the course of the day.

There was such a great sense of vulnerability and hunger I witnessed from the men. I believe a lot of the men had a ‘burning bush’ moment as the Lord had said there would be. At the beginning of the day, I encouraged the men not to miss ‘this moment.’ It was evident most didn’t, and it was wonderful to see. If anyone nearly missed it, it was me.
Two incidences came to my attention at the very beginning of the event that almost became a distraction. The first one didn’t cause any issues as it was outside the building. The second though, almost became a significant distraction in the auditorium but for the grace of God, I recognised it for what it was. When I approached the individual during the first break with all the humility within me, I was confronted by a Jezebel spirit. I walked away and I committed it to the Lord to deal with it, and He did. For the rest of the day, it seemed that there was honour and respect shown by the individual. However, the spirit reared its head again in the last session. When I saw it, I laughed at the enemy and ignored it. I continued worshipping the living God whose presence was so real alongside the multitude who poured out their hearts in worship and in prayer. I once heard Bill Johnson say, “where there is light, there are also bugs.”

Interestingly, the other thing I mentioned at the beginning of the day was; “it is impossible to enter into the presence of God with pride in our hearts.” How easy it is to miss God walking into a room, because our hearts are so full of our own good intentions and self-seeking motives.
I’m so thankful for the Lord’s kindness that so many on the day didn’t miss the moment, including myself. I was particularly thankful for the many who generously gave financially before, during, and after the event. Some contacted us wanting to give if there was a shortfall from the event. As well as that, for all those who continue to partner with us by regular monthly donations, we thank the Lord for you.
When I arrived home on Sunday, my wife told me a close family friend was prompted by the Holy Spirit to pray for us and the event around the same time the event started. I worked out it was exactly the time the enemy tried to distract me and the team in the auditorium. How awesome is God! What we also know, is there were numerous people praying days and weeks earlier, and on the day of the event. The power of prayer is amazing, more importantly is the faithfulness of God when His sons and daughters seek His Heart earnestly.

We’ve said before that PKNZ 2.0 is launched. However after this event, I believed Promise Keepers 2.0 is now officially launched spiritually, and for that, I thank the Lord. Whilst we didn’t have a budget for this event, the Lord rewarded our obedience with the generosity and the obedience of many who made it possible. Those of you who attended, we are so grateful that you responded with your yes. The many who volunteered and especially who travelled from out of town to help on the day, including our speakers who sought the Lord to bring a word in season, we pray abundant blessings from the Lord upon you.
With the utmost humility and sincerity, we thank you all for your sacrifice and love for the Lord, and your support for this ministry. As we venture into this new season, I urge you to partner with us in prayer and financially to extend His kingdom in this amazing country we call home.
I look forward to our next gathering whether it be at a local event, or the national one.
In His richest blessings
