Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.”
Do We Trust God?
Trust is mentioned multiple times in the Bible. In fact, it appears 134 times in the KJV, 131 in the NLT, 125 in the NKJV, and 96 in the NIV.
As a man of God, is it hard to trust God in all areas of your life?
I read somewhere that it was said, “Let your dreams be so big that without God, they are bound to fail.” Do we dream this big?
Although we have our part to play when it comes to our aspirations and goals, I believe some outcomes can only be achieved by God. Whether He puts you in the right place at the right time, or opens the right doors at the right time, I believe trusting God every step of the way is the key. This can also be the most challenging part.
Elisha told Naaman to wash in the Jordan River seven times, but his hurt pride got in the way because Elisha sent a servant to tell him this and did not meet him in person. (2 Kings 5.) Naaman’s expectations were not met. Do we do this with God?
Proverbs 19:21 says, “You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.”
Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."
Abram, Moses and the apostles, to name a few, all trusted God even though they did not understand everything.
Could it be that the very thing God is calling you to move forward on, is the very thing that will bring great security, freedom and a testimony for others to see and put their trust in God?
What do you need to do to begin to regain your trust in God?
Let’s discuss this together on Friday morning in the PKNZ Zoom men’s group (see Zoom meeting details below).
God bless you,
